After working a week and a half on building up the whole exposition, The great Jerry springer rodeo was ready to blow up on friday night. The exposition at Mediamatic featuring Sjoco Sjon, Ottograph, Leyp, Wayne Horse, Super Sule, Morcky, Gestift, Leyp and Lamelos was build up around the most grotesque TV show ever shown. The whole place was packed and enjoying the interactive installations like chair throwing and midget shooting. Check out some video's and pictures of the whole build up after the jump.

Random order is an amazing show with the works of Erosie, Graphic Sugery, Zward and Bier & Brood. The show is in the Alley Guerilla gallery in Hasselt, Belgium. If you're in the neighborhood you should definitely stop by because it definitely looks worth while. More info here.
Amsterdam is a bit of a Museum, and not the modern kind. Also not the kind that gives Banksy the chance to make it his own. Just an old fashioned museum. Nothing wrong with that, unless you're trying to do something with contemporary/modern art. With the city's only big Contemporary museum closed 'till at least 2012 we have to get this form of art in smaller doses. That's why it's great to see that artists and agents are not standing still and keep on finding new ways to let it all flow to the public.

The frost is starting to break over here in the UK, so it must be time to get ready for the Spring/Summer painting season. This, of course, means it's time for Upfest.
Last year there were 150 artists for the event, and it sounds like they're already over that number for registrations already.
Having been to a few Upfest events as a spectator/non-painting helper person, I can attest that it's a great time even without a can of paint in your hand, so worth putting in your calendars now.
