After working a week and a half on building up the whole exposition, The great Jerry springer rodeo was ready to blow up on friday night. The exposition at Mediamatic featuring Sjoco Sjon, Ottograph, Leyp, Wayne Horse, Super Sule, Morcky, Gestift, Leyp and Lamelos was build up around the most grotesque TV show ever shown. The whole place was packed and enjoying the interactive installations like chair throwing and midget shooting. Check out some video's and pictures of the whole build up after the jump.
More goodies from Unusual Image: The Grafik Warfare - Hazardous Waste Show! Something I've been looking forward to see some work from ever since I saw the flyer. Unusual Images has some nice pics of some of the work. Check 'em out after the jump or right here.
Absolutely amazed by the works of UK based street artist Eelus at his new show; The colour out of space. Eelus did an awesome combination of his more traditional work together with geometrical figures which makes for an interesting collaboration of lines. The show is still open 'till the 6th of march, so if you're in London, check it out. More info on the show on Eelus' website. Check some more pics after the jump. Pics by Unusual Image.
A little bit late with paying attention to this one, seeing the show was yesterday, but I still think this absolutely deserves our attention. A great line-up artist has taken it up themselves to create and sell artwork to donate all the income to Haiti. Check some of the works out underneath this post, and check out how you can still contribute yourself as well right here.
Yes, absolutely killing it. This dude has been on our watchlist from the first time we saw hiw work. It has been a while since we saw some updates from him though, but it was worth the wait. Check out more of the wicked pieces SNIK dropped after the jump.
Shame on us we haven't been @ Laser 3.14's exposition @ the art kitchen yet, but bare with us. We wanted to go to the opening but were hang over as f*ck. With barely 3 hours of sleep and a snow blizzard outside we've been searching to find the place for over an hour untill we decided it wasn't going to work. Turned out our sense of direction was still somewhat clouded from the party we had in Tilburg the night before and we were actually close as fuck. Anyway, we'll try again when we're more sober.
What we did came across are some great pics of the show though, and as we feel that Laser is one of Amsterdam's heroes we have to share those with you. From the pics it's visible that Laser is constantly renewing himself and showing some never seen before works: Paintings with 3d effect by placing different pieces of the works infront of each other and installations with as the masterpiece this 'St Peter's cross' closet which is dope and functional ;). We'll be visiting the expo soon, but untill that time check the pictures of Cha420! More after the jump.
Time for the pictures of the second edition of the Vitry Jam! This time there weren't only the names from the first edition of the Jam in December, but also a lot of new names, naming BUE THE WARRIOR, C215, DAN23, KOSTAR, BRUNO LEYVAL, NIARK1, PIXEL PANCHO, COLLIN VAN DER SLUIJS, SLY2, STEW, SUCETTE, RUTGER TERMOHLEN, TSF and FAKE. They've painted three different spots in the Vitry neighbourhood and it looked like an amazing jam. The amazing pictures are, again, provided by Vitostreet and there's another report done by our friends from StencilhistoryX which is way better then ours because they were actually there. Check it. Of course, more pics after the jump.
Have a look at this feast for your eyes right here! There was a big graff jam underneath subway station Kraainest in Amsterdam earlyer this year. Some of the biggest names of the Dutch graff scene were representing, naming AGAIN, RHYME, OASE, CES53, THOR, CHESS, COSH, DIZL, JAKE, MICKEY, MOON, SHEK, PENIS, DUCK, SERCH, AZHQ, FOXY LADY and BOMB. Big up to lastplak for the heads up and Wojofoto for the pics. Loads more after the jump.
So what's all this then? I've heard absolutely nothing about this event, but it seemed amazing! The Concreto Art Show in Mexico city. One of my favorite cities with some of the biggest street artists around: Shepard Fairey, Blek Le Rat, Evan Hecox, Andy Jenkins, Michael Leon, Cody Hudson, Andy Mueller, Steven Harrington, Teddy Kelly, Acomonchi, Russ Pope, Michael Coleman, Ciler, Michael Sieben, Nat Swope and Watchavato. How come we haven't heard about this before? (not that we had money to go). Anyhow, pics after the jump!(shamelessly stolen from the Montana cans blog
Looking too damn fresh: the first edition of the Vitry Jam seems like it has been a great succes. The artist line up consisted out of DAN23, B-Toy, Bruno Leyval, Collin Van der Sluijs, C215, Bue the Warrior, Pixel Pancho, Rutger Termohlen, Sly2, the TSF crew, Stew, Zino and Yosh. Nothing short of amazing, I say! I could talk all day long, but let the pictures speak for themselves. Also, a big up to Vitostreet for a lot of these amazing pics. More after the jump of course.
