StencilhistoryX has chosen one of the pieces from Eelus' solo show, and I can say that they couldn't have picked anything better. The doors are closed, but this show will definitely be rememembered. From SHX:

"Eelus has come a long way since I first discovered his work. He featured at the Cans Festival a scene from the film "Breakfast at Tiffany's" starring Audrey Hepburn faced with a mean cat. He has since abandoned this anecdotal imagery for a universe that is not part of our world." Read More

C215 - Logan Hicks

"Both two artists and two friends are honored this week by The Stencil Of The Week: C215 and his model Logan Hicks. In his new manner, C215 tributes to his NYC based stencil artist friend through his portrait and some elements of recall - the graphic background or electric red colours that evoke Logan’s work. It seems that this is the beginning of a series …"

Another wicked stencil of the week chosen by the good people from StencilhistoryX. I had not heard about the artist  Two Twelve (2:12) before but his works looks very promising. More important then the picture this week, is the timelapse movie. Check it after the jump. Oh and don't forget to visit SHX .

Brutal stencil

"This week, the stencil of the week goes to the piece of an artist whom I know absolutely nothing but his name ((B-R-U-T-A-L-). This stencil in eight layers, is a photograph of a brief moment of daily life, on the morning. It features this like a timelapse that completely renews the genre of stencil art, whom composition is often the weakness. Fresh!"

Sadhu

"During the second Vitryjam last week Sadhu realized this new stencil called "sic transit gloria mundi", Latin phrase which means "Thus passes the glory of the world" and which corresponds to an ancient ritual of enthronement of Pope..." Read More @ SHX

"Js from Jana & Js was visiting Paris, friends and family these past few days. And he took the opportunity to leave his mark in a place he has been loving for a long time: a disused space where there was not so long ago the Fortune Theater, rue de l'Ermitage in the 20th arrondissement." Bruno

"Bruno Leyval gives, through his portraits, a new breath of life in India ink, after the painter Henri Michaux or comic artist Baudoin. He is now perfectly master this technique and tends to explore new fields. This along with C215, Dan 23 and Least Wanted at Bridwell Station in Bristol last April 2008 he unveiled his latest series of Ink Stories in a new form narrative." Read more

Both palm of the week and palm of the exhibition “Go Get Your Shinebox”, this is Paper Monster! This November 21st was indeed the opening of the Brooklynite Gallery group show “Go Get Your Shinebox. Although the concept of the show does not fail to mention that C215 was the first to work on shoeshine boxes, it is quite different. This group show will feature over 100 works from artists all looking to answer the question of how to survive in these economic times by creating their own interpretation of a “Survival Box.”

Almost forgot I owe u a genuine SHX stencil of the week! This great one is done by Monstfur. For more great stencil art, check StencilhistoryX (or keep browsing here of course).
